Junebug receives thousands of submissions to their annual Best of the Best Wedding Photo Contest, with just 50 making the final cut.

Scotland-based wedding and elopement photographer Seán Bell was one of the winners in 2024. Known for his cinematic style, his photos are atmospheric, ethereal and dramatic – as demonstrated in this award-winning image taken at Dunnottar Castle.

The ‘Rising Stars’ are considered to be the next exciting generation of storytellers bringing fresh and unique styles to wedding photography.

Aurora Ceriani of Yidaki Studio was named a Rising Star in 2024. With a style rooted in a love for cinema and fine art photography, this Italian wedding and elopement photography studio is known for creating images that are timeless and emotional.

Our next photographer to be featured among Rangefinder’s 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography is Vanessa da Silva, of Vanessa & Ivo. Based in Portugal and specialising in destination wedding photography and videography, their style is of timeless elegance and beauty – as captured in the below image.

4. Mati Machner

Mati is a cinematic wedding photographer from Vienna, Austria, known for his mystical and atmospheric approach to capturing significant moments. The below image was one of 30 he submitted in his portfolio for the Rising Stars award, and which secured him the coveted title.

5. Tash Busta

Tash received the Rangefinders Rising Stars award at the Las Vegas awards ceremony in 2024 – and was the only female photographer in the UK to receive this recognition! Tash’s style is editorial and creative with a touch of modern artistry.

6. Robin Goodlad

Nirav is a San Francisco-based Fine Art Portrait and Wedding Photographer, renowned for his unique cinematic approach to wedding photography.

Always one to draw inspiration from quiet moments, his work has been recognised across multiple awards, including: 30 Best Wedding Photographers Around The World (The Wed); 40 Best Wedding Photographers in the US (The Wed); Top 30 Wedding Photographers in the World (Wed Vibes Media). Earlier in his career, he was also named as one of Rangefinder’s Rising Stars.

Pennsylvania-based Scott is a world-renowned wedding photographer and educator. Last year, he was named one of the top 10 photographers by the Masters of Wedding Photography North America – for a second straight year.
